A short path
to your computer.
A PC program, a phone app and one approved connection.
The Android app is available on Google Play. Install the PC program and mobile app, then pair them with a QR code.
Get the Android appInstall on your computer.
Choose your operating system and run the command in its terminal. Your computer needs a network connection.
curl -fsSL https://github.com/da-itda/terminal-itda/releases/latest/download/install.sh | shApple Silicon & Intel. Installs in your user folder.
The installer checks your OS and CPU, verifies the download checksum, installs in your user folder and guides you through setup. Claude Code, Codex and herdr installation or updates are offered with a prompt; herdr is optional.
Browse PC release filesPair with the phone app.
Once the app is available, install it and sign in. Scan the QR shown during PC setup using the app, then check and approve the device on your computer.
Need a new QR? Run this on your computer. Use the scanner inside the app, not the phone’s regular camera.
terminal-itda pairPick up the conversation.
Choose your computer and an available Claude Code or Codex conversation. If a supported workspace has that conversation open, continue there. Otherwise, start a session in the selected folder.
COMPATIBILITY
A few things about your setup.
macOS
Apple Silicon and Intel builds. The background service uses launchd.
Windows
Windows 10 1809 or later. Use PowerShell. Allow the firewall prompt for direct local-network access. Some desktop and fresh-install checks are still in progress.
Linux
amd64 and arm64. A systemd user service is required for automatic background startup.
herdr / Orca / cmux
Install the workspace you use separately. cmux requires automation permission in Settings. Orca opens new work in registered projects. Features vary by tool and operating system.
KEEP AWAKE
Keep working with the lid closed.
Keep Awake is a Pro feature, off by default. Use PC version 0.14.0 or later and a compatible mobile app. Enable it only when you want the computer to remain awake.
- Prepare your Mac once.
Accept the lid-closed permission during setup, or run the command below on the Mac. It asks for administrator approval to change the sleep setting.
terminal-itda awake setup - Turn it on in the app.
Open the computer’s ⋮ menu → Turn on Keep Awake. Check the awake, power/battery and thermal indicators shown for that computer.
- Close the lid and continue on your phone.
On a configured MacBook, no external display or power adapter is required. Keep the network connected, including a hotspot if you use one, and leave the computer where heat can escape.
Device support
MacBook lid-closed use has been verified. Windows uses the lid power setting; hardware and power policies such as Modern Standby may limit it, and Windows laptop lid-closed use is still awaiting device verification. Linux needs systemd-inhibit and suitable system permissions/power management.
Automatic release
When readable battery data reports 20% or less on battery, or supported thermal data reports high heat, Keep Awake turns off and sends a phone notification. Available sensors vary by system; keep the computer ventilated and check its status.
