TERMINAL-ITDA / POLICIES
Privacy Policy
What terminal-itda handles, where it goes, and what you can control.
1. Who handles your information
Newer (뉴어) operates terminal-itda. This policy describes the PC program, mobile app and service website. Contact privacy and support at customer@newer.co.kr.
The app connects to AI tools on your computer. Those tools and their AI providers have their own data practices. This policy does not replace them.
2. Information and purposes
Required account information supports sign-in and the service. Images, camera input, notifications and support messages are processed when you choose the corresponding feature.
| Category | Information | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account & sign-in | Email address, account ID, sign-in provider, and profile name supplied by that provider. | Authentication, account access and customer support. |
| Synced setup | Computer names, icons, colors, public identifiers/keys, local and relay addresses; SSH host name, address, port, user name, public host fingerprint and setup flags. | Restore your setup across devices. Private keys and SSH passwords are excluded. |
| Purchases & trials | Account ID, product ID, entitlement status, trial/subscription dates, and a hash of the purchase token that links a purchase to an account. Tokens are sent for verification. | Verify purchases, restore access, check trial eligibility and handle support. Card details are handled by the store. |
| Work data | Conversation history, terminal output, project/session information, prompts and selected images. | Show and continue work between paired devices over an encrypted connection; not stored as conversation history in the account database. |
| Notifications | Push token, installation identifier, notification preferences and an encrypted task notification payload. | Deliver completion or response-needed notifications when enabled. |
| AI plan limits | AI provider/tool name, remaining percentages, reset and check times. | Show plan availability. The PC queries the AI provider with the existing tool login; the phone and terminal-itda relay do not receive that AI login credential. |
| Keep Awake status | Enabled state, power/battery level, supported thermal information and automatic-release reason. | Show device status and release Keep Awake when supported battery/heat limits are reached. Settings stay on the PC; status is sent over the paired connection. |
| Technical & support data | IP address, connection time, routing identifier, error/security logs, and information you send to support. | Route connections, prevent abuse, resolve failures and answer requests. |
3. Information on your devices
The phone stores its private device key and SSH passwords/private keys in platform secure storage. It also keeps preferences and connection information. A public key or public fingerprint is different from a private key and may be included in synced settings.
AI work and history originate on your computer. Images you send are saved in the PC upload folder. Files older than seven days are cleaned when another upload occurs; deletion is not scheduled exactly seven days after upload. You can delete PC files yourself.
4. Connection and safeguards
PC-to-phone work data is end-to-end encrypted and a new phone requires QR pairing and PC approval. The relay forwards encrypted work data. Notification contents are encrypted for the phone before delivery.
Account settings, entitlement records and routing metadata are handled separately from encrypted work content. Network encryption, account-based database rules and restricted server access protect those records. End-to-end encryption is not a promise that all metadata is invisible or that an approved device cannot act on your computer.
5. Service providers and international processing
We use the providers below to run selected features. We do not sell your personal information or add advertising identifiers or an analytics SDK to the app or this site. Operational processing by hosting and SDK providers is separate.
| Provider / service | Processing |
|---|---|
| Google / Firebase | Authentication, settings database, purchase verification and push delivery. Authentication can process data in the United States. The configured settings database is in Seoul; other Firebase processing can use global infrastructure. |
| Google Play / Apple | Sign-in and store functions you use: Google sign-in and Google Play purchases on Android; Sign in with Apple and App Store purchases on iPhone. App Store purchases are checked against the transaction Apple signs. Each provider handles its own account and payment data under its policy; the iPhone app is also licensed under Apple’s Standard EULA. |
| jsDelivr | Downloads the selected app language font. The CDN receives the request, including network information such as an IP address. CDN routing may cross borders. |
| Your AI provider / SSH network | Your tools may send prompts or files to the AI provider. Optional Tailscale/SSH use follows that service and host configuration. These are separate from the terminal-itda account database. |
Firestore account settings are stored in the Seoul region (asia-northeast3). Firebase Authentication, push delivery and Google Play purchase verification may process data in the United States and other countries where Google operates infrastructure. Transfers occur over encrypted network connections when you sign in, sync settings, request a notification or verify a purchase. Refusing this processing prevents the corresponding sign-in, sync, notification or purchase feature. Provider infrastructure follows the provider’s published privacy and retention terms.
6. Retention and deletion
Account authentication, synced settings, entitlement/trial records and purchase-link records are retained while the account is active and deleted when you delete the account or complete a verified deletion request, subject to legally required exceptions.
In-app deletion removes the Firebase account, synced settings and server-managed entitlement, trial and purchase-link records. You can also request complete account-related deletion at customer@newer.co.kr; email requests are handled after account verification and normally completed within 30 days. Google Play and the App Store keep their own transaction records under Google’s and Apple’s policies, and records required by law may be retained only for the required purpose and period.
The relay does not store conversation or terminal content. Operational logs can include an IP address, a shortened public-key identifier, connection events and errors. Relay container logs are limited to three 10 MB files and older entries are deleted as the files rotate. PC daemon logs, uploaded images and project files stay on your own computer until you delete them; uploaded files older than seven days are also cleaned when another upload occurs.
Where Korean e-commerce retention duties apply, advertising records are retained for six months, contract/withdrawal and payment/supply records for five years, and consumer complaint/dispute records for three years. This applies to the relevant transaction records, not every piece of account or work data.
After the relevant purpose or retention period ends, electronic records are deleted using available deletion mechanisms; any paper records are destroyed. Provider backups and service logs follow their separate deletion lifecycles. We do not promise immediate erasure from every backup.
7. Your choices and rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or withdrawal where applicable at customer@newer.co.kr. We may verify account ownership with the minimum information needed and respond under applicable law. If a request cannot be fulfilled, we explain the reason.
Use the account and data deletion guide for app and email instructions. Deleting an account does not itself cancel a store subscription, erase PC history or revoke a phone’s separately paired PC access.
8. Device permissions and website storage
The app uses camera input for QR scanning or a photo you take, the photo picker for selected images, clipboard input when you paste or choose it, and notification permission for task alerts. You can change permissions in system settings; the corresponding feature may stop working.
The site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, or save work content in browser storage. Website hosting may produce security and access logs. App-store, GitHub and other outbound links use the destination’s policies.
9. Children and updates
The service is not designed for children under 16. A legal representative can contact us to exercise applicable rights. Eligibility and consent must also follow local law and your AI or store provider’s requirements.
Changes and their effective date will be published on the site or in the app. The effective date of this policy is shown at the top of this page.
